1Go to ssc.gov.in and use Login or Register to start One-Time Registration (OTR).
2Complete OTR with basic details. Keep your mobile number and email active because both are verified by OTP.
3Keep ready your 10th details, Aadhaar or other ID proof, and disability details if applicable.
4After OTR, log in using your Registration Number and Password.
5Click Apply under Combined Hindi Translators Examination, 2026 in the Live Exam tab.
6Check the auto-filled personal details. If anything is wrong, edit the OTR data first.
7Fill the remaining application details, choose exam centres, and give any required category/relaxation information. You can choose three exam centres in order of preference.
8Upload your live photo and signature as per instructions. The notice says the photo must be clear, frontal, without cap/mask/spectacles, and the signature must be in JPEG/JPG format.
9Preview the form carefully, tick the declaration, and submit the application.
10Pay the fee online if you are not exempted. Accepted modes include BHIM UPI, Net Banking, and Debit Cards.
11Take a printout for your record. The notice says the application is treated as provisional after successful submission.

What is the last date to apply?The last date for online application is 14 May 2026 up to 11:00 PM. The fee can be paid till 15 May 2026 up to 11:00 PM.
Can I apply offline?No. Applications must be submitted only online through ssc.gov.in.
Do I need a new OTR?Yes, if you have not created OTR on the new SSC website, you must register again. Old OTR from ssc.nic.in will not work on the new website.
Is there a correction window?Yes. SSC allows correction from 19 May 2026 to 20 May 2026 up to 11:00 PM. Corrections are allowed only for applications submitted properly within time.
How many times can I correct the form?A candidate can correct and resubmit the application two times during the correction window.
How much is the application fee?The fee is Rs. 100. Women candidates, SC, ST, PwBD, and eligible Ex-Servicemen are exempted.
Can I submit more than one application?No. Only one online application is allowed during the normal application period.
What documents should be ready before OTR?Keep your mobile number, email ID, Aadhaar or another ID proof, 10th board details, and disability certificate number if applicable.
Will SSC contact me by post?The notice says SSC may communicate through email/SMS, so your mobile number and email must be active and correct.
What if my photo or signature is unclear?Applications with blurred or improper photos/signatures can be rejected, so upload them exactly as instructed.
Is the application final after submission?No, it is treated as provisional until later verification.
