    1) Eligible candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria on the cut-off date will be called to appear in a Computer Based Test (CBT), and the final selection will be based on the candidate’s relative score in the CBT.
    2) Candidates will be allowed to take the CBT on the basis of the declaration made in the online application, but this is only provisional. After the CBT result is declared, NCL will verify the documents and eligibility of only those candidates who clear the prescribed cut-off marks.
    3) For HEMM Operator (Trainee) posts, the CBT is of 100 marks and 90 minutes duration, with 1 mark for each question and no negative marking.
    4) For Paramedical Staff and Overseer (Civil) posts, the CBT is conducted separately for each post, also for 100 marks and 90 minutes, with Section A covering technical knowledge and Section B covering general subjects.
    5) To be considered for the merit panel, candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks: 50 for UR/EWS and 40 for SC/ST/ESM/OBC-NCL/PwBD.
    6) If marks are equal, tie-breaking is done by post-specific rules. For HEMM posts, higher matriculation percentage is preferred first, then older age, then alphabetical order of name. For most paramedical posts, higher Section A score is preferred first, then older age, then alphabetical order. For Overseer (Civil), higher Section A score is preferred first, then older age, then alphabetical order.
    7) The result of the CBT will be published on the NCL website, and shortlisted candidates will be called for scrutiny/verification of testimonials in order of CBT merit.
