  1. Go to the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in, and complete the online registration using your own email ID and mobile number.
  2. Fill in the online application form carefully and note the system-generated application number.
  3. Upload the required live photograph and scanned images of a recent photograph and signature in the prescribed size and format.
  4. The bulletin specifies a recent photograph of 10 KB to 200 KB and signature of 4 KB to 30 KB.
  5. Pay the examination fee through the available online modes and keep the payment proof safe.
  6. The application is considered complete only after successful fee payment.
  7. Download, save, and print the confirmation page for your record.
  8. The bulletin says you do not need to send the confirmation page or documents to NTA by post, email, fax, or hand. If needed, use the correction window from 22 May 2026 to 24 May 2026, but no changes are allowed after final submission and only one application form should be submitted.

Q1. Who can apply for UGC NET June 2026?
Candidates with a Master’s degree or equivalent can apply. General/Unreserved/General-EWS candidates need at least 55% marks, while OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/PwBD/Third gender candidates need at least 50% marks.

Q2. Can final-year students apply?
Yes. Students who are appearing in the final year or whose result is awaited can apply provisionally, but they must later meet the required percentage within the time limit mentioned in the bulletin.
