Clearing CTET is not just about passing an exam — it directly unlocks doors to some of India’s most sought-after government teaching positions. Prestigious institutions like Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) require a valid CTET score as a mandatory qualification. On the salary front, a Primary Teacher (PRT) can expect an estimated in-hand salary of ₹54,000–₹57,000 per month, while a Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) earns around ₹67,000–₹72,000 per month — all under the 7th Pay Commission with full allowances. Beyond government schools, holding a CTET certificate also significantly boosts a candidate’s credibility in private school hiring, especially in reputable institutions. And the best part? The CTET certificate is now valid for a lifetime, meaning one successful attempt secures your eligibility permanently — making this September 2026 cycle an opportunity no serious teaching aspirant should miss.
